1988: Mander Walsh is purchased by market research entrepreneur Sir Bernard Audley and renamed AGB Promotional Logistics Ltd. By now the company is employing more than 200 people and its future looks secure within the AGB Group, whose subsidiaries span the globe.
1989: Responding to the needs of client ICI, the company opens a satellite warehouse at Haydock, near St Helens, Merseyside. However the year has a surprise in store with the takeover of AGB by Robert Maxwell's Pergamon Group.
