Prolog technology

We’re constantly developing new and innovative technology solutions.

Our talented IT specialists will work with you to create integrated software that perfectly meets your needs.

Company overview

For nearly three decades we’ve been changing and growing with our clients’ needs. From our beginnings as a small, single-site distribution firm, we now have eight facilities across three sites, over 800,000 square feet of warehousing, a fleet of 23 vehicles, and a 250-seat contact centre.

Our main campus is located within the logistics ‘golden triangle’, placing us within one hour’s drive of all major carrier hubs, and our own fleet is complemented by our established partnerships with the UK’s best couriers.

We recruit only the best staff, who reflect our vision – having bags of flexibility and innovation combined with experience. The campus-style set-up of our main site means we can flex our warehouse staffing arrangements, an approach that’s echoed in our call centre thanks to an agile IT infrastructure.

Our expert in-house IT capabilities give us the flexibility to design and implement innovative solutions that integrate our clients’ environments into our own, giving easy stock visibility, straightforward CRM interfaces, and speedy and accurate real-time data.

History

Prolog’s story started in 1981 when businessman Peter Scott-Smith founded a small distribution firm in the Suffolk market town of Sudbury.

Sir Bernard Audley bought the firm in 1988 and since then, Prolog has chiefly remained in the ownership of the Audley family. When it briefly passed into other hands in 1989, the family’s passion for the business won out and they bought it back the following year.

That’s when the company was renamed Prolog, a shortening of our registered name, Promotional Logistics Ltd.

Over the last three decades, the Audley family have shown their ongoing commitment to the business, making significant investment that has allowed diversification and the introduction of state-of-the-art facilities, underpinning the core services we offer today.

We’re proud of our history but are fully focused on where our journey of ongoing growth and diversity will take us next.
